Paddy Spinks formed Global Spins consulting firm in 2001 following seven years as the head of international for Capitol Records.  Global Spins has enjoyed one success after another ranging from the multi-platinum achievements of EMI artists Norah Jones, Keith Urban and Joss Stone to Concord Records’ Ray Charles posthumous release.  Since 2005, Paddy has worked directly with Paul McCartney and MPL Communications to oversee the worldwide launch of the critically acclaimed, chart-topping albums Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Memory Almost Full.

Joining Capitol Records in 1994 as head of international, Paddy was responsible for Capitol’s many successes outside the US including gold and platinum albums for Beastie Boys, Foo Fighters, Everclear, the Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, Megadeth, Meredith Brooks, Crowded House and Dean Martin’s best-selling greatest hits package. He was also known for nurturing the careers of new bands such as Spearhead, Sparklehorse, Dandy Warhols, Bran Van 3000 and Shivaree, all of whom had their greatest success outside the US. A native of the UK, Paddy spent much of his career prior to Capitol in artist management working with such musicians as: Roxy Music, King Crimson, Brian Eno, Killing Joke, Phil Collins, Genesis, Mike & the Mechanics and Julian Lennon at both EG Music and Hit & Run Management.
